mChek has been commercially deployed in Sri Lanka by Dialog Axiata PLC, the leading telecom operator, in partnership with NDB Bank. This is the first commercial launch, on September 2007, of a Card Present mobile payment platform in the world. The facility has also been extended to customers of Seylan Bank, the leading retail bank of Sri Lanka, and Lanka Orix Finance Company (LOLC). In December 2010, mChek also launched a Card Not Present mobile commerce solution for Dialog's customers. mChek customers in Sri Lanka can make convenient & secure mobile payments ranging from utility bills/pre-paid top-ups, over-the-counter and remote commerce, and mobile banking.
